Prologue:

I was longing to go to Hogwarts for such a long time. I still believe that the happiest day of my life was the day that it was I who got on the train. It was I who got on the Hogwarts Express, away from mom who is alwas too worried, off to freedom. I had packed by bag for ages already. I kept changing the contents. That summer, Rons best friend Harry Potter had come over.
I was so shy! I adored him, he looked like such a nice boy. And a true hero. He was every girls' dream and me with my childish face and figure and firelike red hair wouldn't make any chance.

"Bye mom!" I waved from my place in the Hogwarts Express. I was so happy and full of expectations. I was going to Hogwarts!
I was sitting with a boy and two girls who were going to their first year, too. They introduced themselves as Elle, Marianne and Steve.
"I am Ginny. Ginny Weasley."
"You must be the twins' sister then!" Elle shouted in awe. "That's so cool!"
"Yes, I am. How do you know?" It was her first year, too, how could she have known the twins?
"My brother Milow is in their year. He always has lots of stories about them. It must be wonderful to have them as brothers," Elle explained.
"Well, yeah. But sometimes they go to far."
I didn't know what to say to be honest. I hoped in the deepest of my heart that people wouldn't compare me to Fred and George.
After a while, there was noise in the corridors. The scenery outside had turned from green fields to high raised hills. Marianne got out of our coupé to look what was going on.
"Everyone is putting on their robes," Milow said. He had been looking too.
"We had better do the same," Marianne said. "We can't appear at Hogwarts in our Muggle clothing."
"Is any of you a Muggleborn?" I was curious.
"My mom is a Muggle, my dad was a wizard," Milow said.
"I'm so sorry you lost your father." Elles voice was full of pity.
"Ah well, it's ok. It happened years ago. I'l tell you in the castle."
Everyone was leaving the train now and so did we. I hoped they would all be Gryffindors.
When we got out of the train, there was a huge man calling for the first years. I knew immediately it was Hagrid. Me, Elle, Marianne and Milow followed him, full of expectation.

Chapter One: Finally

I was sitting at the Gryffindor Table, feeling really happy. All my brothers and both my parents had been sorted into Gryffindor House and I wanted to be in there too after all those fantastic stories. But there still was the possibility I'd be sorted in Ravenclaw, Huffelpuff or Slytherin.
Elle was sitting next to me, beaming with pride. Marianne was a Gryffindor too, but Milow had been sorted in Hufflepuff. He seemed happy, too.
I looked around to see who was in my house. I had been the last one sorted - what I had expected with a name like Weasley.
Dumbledore just had finished his speech and told the first years not to go into the Forbidden Forest. I made a note to myself in my head - Go see what's in the Forbidden Forest.
Elle was pointing at some boys to indicate which ones she found handsome. Marianne was playing the game but I could see on her face she didn't like this hot or not game.
"Ginny, pass me the salt, will ya?" The voice was familiar and I turned around.
It was Ron, my youngest brother - but still older than me. I passed him the salt quickly, not daring to look at him.
Next to him sat the great, famous Harry Potter. I had a bit of a crush on him. I had been really surprised seeing Harry in the kitchen that day he came to us.
Harry had smiled and greeted me, I had ran away.
The dinner was delicious and the dessert was marvelous, the best chocolate mousse I ever tasted.
Percy, the Prefectmy brother, led us to the commonroom in the tower. He was walking next to me. I was very little and he was very tall, so I had to look up if I wanted to say something. He seemed pride of his younger sister and I felt proud to have such a big brother.
Fred and George were scaring some first years with their little bombs.
I saw Rons head through the crowd; Ron was quite tall himself and with his red hair, I recognised him easily. Next to him was Harry Potter, I knew that, but I couldn't see him.

When I was in the commonroom, I couldn't believe my eyes. I had heard lots of stories from Bill, Charlie, Percy, Fred, George and Ron but this was beyond my imagination.
The round room was full of shiny red and gold. I saw lions everywhere and there was an open fire. There were some sofa's and couches and chairs. I felt home immediately.
"Hey, Weasley!"
I didn't listen, it was probably shouted to one of my brothers.
"I'm talking to you, Ginny."
Surprised I looked around to see who it was. I saw the round, smiling face of Lee Jordan. He was a friend of Fred and Georges.
"Yes?" I asked. I felt I was blushing.
"You see that red? It goes with your hear," he joked. Ginny laughed, although she didn't find it very funny.
"I'm going to see the dormitory," she said quickly, and off she was.
She didn't know where her dormitory was and went to Percy.
"Percy, where is the other Prefect? I want to go to the dormitory."
"That's Shelly Roshing."
Percy pointed at a girl on the other side of the common room. The girl wasn't very tall, but little was too much said. She had long, brown hair and sparkling eyes. She was having an animated conversation with a boy. I was shy and I didn't dare to disturb her, so I waited until she was finished.
"Hi," I whispered.
"Hi!" she said gayly. "Can I help you?" She looked at me, her eyes went over my head and my hair.
"You are a Weasley, aren't you?"
I nodded, wondering if that was a good or a bad thing.
"So, you must be Ginny then. Percy told me about you, said you're quite good at Quidditch - in the backyard at least."
Ginny didn't know what to say, but it appeared that Shelley never had that problem.
"I am your Prefect, Shelley Roshing. But I guess you know that, since you came to me?"
I nodded, feeling really stupid.
"Can I help you?"
"I am searching for the girl's dormitory. The first years' girls."
"Oh, I'll walk along with you, then."
Shelley and Ginny went to the stairs on the left. It took some time to get there because the commonroom was very crowded. When they finally had reached the stairs, they went up.
They stopped at a wooden door with a golden plate saying "First years".
"This is your dormitory, Ginny."
"Thank you."
I opened the door and saw that my trunk stood at a bed beside a window.
I sat on the bed and than laid down. My first year had finally begun.
