Apparently, her sarcasm isn't well-received. They seem to think that she genuinely wanted to play games with these idiots. The thought alone causes Ivy shake her head slightly. Sam starts freaking out, and Ivy is surprised at that. She thought they might be able to be allies, but he's too much of a softy anyway. She initially wants to defend herself by saying that she was being sarcastic and that none of this is fun. It's not like she feels bad for Zé (she had it coming!), but there's a difference between being indifferent and happy. Instead, she just sighs and says: "Good for you, Blondie. You figured it out."

That's about the time when Beck starts lashing out. At first, Ivy's face remains blank. But as his speech continues, she can't avoid her face crumbling into one of hurt. Ivy's not the kind of person to blame her past for anything she presently does. Hell, she has developed the habit of trying to blame as little on her past as she can. She doesn't even think about herself that much - she doesn't want to. And here's Beck, shoving it in her face. Ivy looks away. She takes a breath and composes her face.

"Parents are too dead to love me," she says. She tries to sound blase about it, but her voice quivers a little. Her hands curl into fists. Don't be an idiot. None of this matters. That's right. "What's so interesting about my childhood? Want to know how I ended up in the foster system? How I went through eighteen families, total?" Her voice is higher than usual, and she keeps getting angrier at herself for 1) talking about this, and 2) being even remotely emotional about it. "Doesn't matter though. Everything I do, is because that's how I want to do them. As Blondie said: I'm a bitch. Deal with it."

She shifts uncomfortably and ends up stuffing her fists in her pockets, hoping fiercely that they won't see her any differently because of this. That they won't think of her as vulnerable. She needs to be invincible.

Sam wants to turn his anger at Beck when the boy tries to tell him what to do. He's tired of Ivy's insults and her treating him like he's stupid, even though he tried to comfort her a few hours ago. Being stuck in this labyrinth with such an annoying girl around was starting to really piss him off.

But then Beck actually continues and turns to Ivy at some part, asking her about her past, her parents, childhood. Sam raises an eyebrow. Well, that was unexpected. He's really glad the questions aren't for him, because he would have ran away. But to be honest, he's quite curious to hear more about Ivy. There should be a reason she's such an annoying and noisy person. He doesn't expect her to open up and is actually waiting for her to punch Beck or something. He doesn't want to be responsible for Beck getting hurt now and he doesn't think anyone else should end up with broken bones, though.

Once again the color is drained from his face when Ivy starts to talk. He instantly regrets ever getting angry at her. Of course there was a reason. She must have felt scared and unwanted for at least half of her life. Sam blinks back tears and bites his bottom lip. Of course growing up in foster care doesn't mean you can get all crazy. But when he looks at his own life and the way he turned out, he can easily make the connection. He takes a deep breath and forces his body to get up. He then turns to Ivy, feeling guilty and miserable. "I'm sorry. You're not a bitch. You're just messed up. I know what it's like."

He won't say more than that and he hopes she gets the hint. He's not proud of his past. Even though his parents are probably still alive somewhere. Even though his mother was a drug addict and he's never met his father, so he kind of feels like an orphan. Foster homes weren't fun, he preferred the orphanage at all times. At least he felt less like an intruder there. "Can we move on now?" He feels rude and heartless for asking, but he just doesn't want to stay here.

"You're welcome," Reese replies flatly to Zé's thanks. After the stuff Zé pulled earlier Reese is not going to be extremely enthusiastic or nice to her, even though she's helping Zé. She shrugs a bit when Zé mouths sorry, but forces a smile and nods when the other woman says that she'll just take one for now. "Okay, fine by me."

Reese takes a few steps back and then walks to a random rock, which she sits down on. Meanwhile, Ivy manages to piss people off. Again. Personally, Reese doesn't see what was so extremely offensive about what Ivy said, but maybe she's just desensitized after years working together with her. Either way it's a dumb move, and one that definitely doesn't endear Ivy to the group.

When Beck confronts Ivy and asks if Ivy's parents didn't love her, Reese thinks: Wow, speaking from experience or something? Someone clearly has daddy issues... Much to Reese's surprise, Ivy then actually opens up a little, sharing her sob story, to which Sam reacts that he knows what it is to be messed up. Okay, so now everyone has issues, apparently?

Reese doesn't feel like getting into sharing mode though, so when Sam suggests to move on, she immediately says: "Seems like a good idea. If every time we rest we're at each other's throats... we might as well move on." She tries to remember the map. "If I recall correctly, 4 is the nearest, so I suggest we tackle that one first."

Isaac did really wanted to go, there was no point in staying where they were. But then again they had Zé's broken arm now.

Ivy proves herself, again, the enormous bitchy person she clearly was. How could a person be that bitchy without really having a reason to behave like that? Isaac couldn't or didn't want to understand, this was just way to evil. But before Isaac can say anything , Sam starts getting angry. Whut ? Did he hear that good enough ? Sam , getting angry ? Isaac didn't know what to think of this boy anymore. First he climbs to the highest zone of the mountain, solves the anagrams and now he starts speaking out his mind to the person he least expected Sam would say anything to. This boy could get them a lot more surprises Isaac thought. So Isaac gives Sam a smile after he his angry speech towards Ivy.

Then Beck starts falling out at Ivy too . Okay , Beck had quite a big mouth so that he was angry with Ivy didn't surprise Isaac. But what he was saying was really way out of what is appropriate. This could really hurt Ivy ,if anything was true about what Beck said. Stupid boy Isaac thought, you better still could play friendly with everyone around.

Clearly there was some truth is Beck’s speech, because Ivy starts speaking about her past. Another thing Isaac didn't expect. Ivy, telling something personal ? Suddenly Isaac feels bad for Ivy, she didn't deserve Beck's falling out, this was way to painful. Everyone of this group suddenly looks different, things which Isaac thought would never happen, are happening.

Sam seems to realise what he had done, and says sorry, and that he had some bad experience too. Was everybody from a bad background or so , Isaac thought , H never experienced something like that, luckily tough. And that's why Isaac decides not to say anything, he never felt like them, so he couldn't really say anything appropriate.

Suddenly most people are willingly to leave the place. Isaac is happy about that. " As I said before , we really should move on now. Maybe we can do a couple more challenges before it gets dark, we should use the last daylight. Four seems quit alright to me Reese."

As expected, Reese doesn't respond to her apology. Whatever. Zé doesn't feel bad about what she said anymore. She said she's sorry, there's really nothing more she can do. If Reese still wants to hold a grudge against her, fine. Zé couldn't care less. The woman was helping her, it didn't matter for what reason she was. Zé takes the pill. Now she only has to wait for it to kick in.

Isaac really wants to get going, and Zé agrees. 'Fine, let's go, I'll be fine,' she says. It's not like resting here will make her arm magically heal. She is going to have to do challenges with this "disadvantage", and it doesn't really matter if that will be in five minutes or in two days. It's still going to hurt like hell.

What has been going on with Ivy, Beck and Sam is something Zé is not willing to listen to. Really, she couldn't care less about the bitch's past. Yes, it's nice to know she actually has a reason to be the way she is, but hell, that's not going to change the fact that Ivy still is a fcking pain in the ass. Great, she has issues. Well, Zé has issues too and frankly, she's not being remotely as bitchy as Ivy.

Sam starts blinking tears away and looks a lot like a cartoon character. He apologizes for what he said and takes his words back. Ivy represses a sigh - this is what she didn't want. She doesn't want anyone's pity. She's not nice to people, because people suck. That has nothing to do with her past; that's her personality. But people are people, and they like searching for reasons behind faults. Either way, she feels like the others have an advantage over her. They know something now, and knowledge is power. Her eyes squint together as she surveys Sam. "I showed you mine, you show me yours. What's your story, Blondie?" Maybe this'll set some kind of domino-effect in motion. She feels the need to set the imbalance straight, somehow.

Reese suggests they move on, and Ivy can't help but see the irony in this situation. Reese is supposed to be the nicer one, and yet, here's Ivy asking about other people's ridiculous lives. Not with the best intentions, mind you, you can't expect too much from someone who'd easily label herself as unkind. Isaac backs Reese up with the leaving-plan and so does Zé. A scornful smirk appears fleetingly on Ivy's face when Zé says "I'll be fine", and Ivy can't help but think I genuinely hope you won't.

"Whatever, let's go," she says, shrugging. They can walk and talk.

Reese and Isaac agree with moving on and decide on number 4 as their next stop. Zé claims that she'll be fine. Ivy turns to him and asks him about his story. Alright, he could have seen that one coming, but that doesn't mean he's actually ABLE to talk about himself. He wants to shake his head and be done with it, but he knows Ivy won't let him get away like that. So instead he shrugs and tries to brush it off. "I grew up in foster care too." Hopefully Ivy won't ask further, even though he's quite sure she will.

He moves closer to Zé instead, mainly to be away from Ivy's gaze, but also to assist her and keep an eye on her. He glances at Dahsi, who should still have the map. "4 is quite close, right?" He turns to Reese. "You want to take the radio or do you want someone else to take our way-too-amused public with them?"

Yes! Ivy reacts exactly like Beck wanted her to. The bitch is down on her knees! Beck didn't care about Ivy's sad stories, he just didn't like her. And Beck was used to bring others down to gain a bit of popularity himself - that was the way of the system, that was how it was done. Bully or be bullied. Kill or be killed. Not a single person was safe - nor from him- or herself, nor from others. Eventually, everything would backfire; you'd be hurt by the past, by yourself, by guilt, by dissapointment, by others. But Beck knew that whatever backfired at him, it could also make him stronger.

,,Poor you,'' Beck told Ivy cynically, smiling rather politely and not minding Sam's past. He didn't care. If Ivy didn't have moral values, Beck wouldn't treat her like she had. Sam apparantly doesn't agree and apologizes to Ivy. He proceeds to ask if they could move on, and everyone seems to agree. Beck shrugged his shoulders. He was fine with it. Reese and Isaac vote 4, and Zé, Ivy and Sam all seem to give their votes in an indirect way.

Beck, having said enough for a while, decides to walk at the rear of the group. He puts his hands in his pockets and his key comes back to his mind again. Beck smiled. He thought he'd figured out Ivy's weak spot - even though it was a misperception - and he was happy he wasn't as tortured as Zé was - even though he felt sorry for her; what the voice had commanded to be done to her was beyond awful. However, Beck urged himself to stay positive. He was obviously still one of the potential winners of this game. Yes, his looks were ruined by the waterfall and yes, his knee hurted a little, but generally speaking, he still was in top condition.

Dahsi isn't really paying attention to the others, she's just resting and trying to save her energy as much as possible. She takes a look at her leg and decides it's not that bad. If she could somehow find a stick suited to being a cane, it'd be fine. Then the fighting once again starts. Ivy is in the middle once again and Dahsi just remains quiet and neutral like she always does. She does however listen to Ivy and Sam's stories and immediately gets out her notebook. She starts writing down every little bit of information she can remember, until a question is eventually directed at her. Dahsi takes out the map, looks at it and nods to Sam.

"It's the closest," she agrees. "Alright lets get going then."

And once again the group is on their way to the next stop. Dahsi limps somewhere in the middle and after a while they get to another cave. There's some bush surrounding it and nothing else; no food and drinks like last time. Dahsi skeptically awaits instructions.

"Oh goody! We're on our way once again. Well... this one's up to you. Enter if you wish. You can also choose to leave it." he simply says.

Wow this isn’t going right at all, because everyone seems to have a vocal fight with at least with one of the group, well maybe except for Dahsi. Ivy suddenly starts to let it out all on Beck about somewhat of her past, how her parents are dead and she apparently had been in eighteen different foster families, Gabriel actually feels kinda bad for her deep inside, though he doesn’t show it. But he just don’t understand why Ivy would say something about her past, why would she share that information with the whole group as in a probably emotionally response on Beck.

Then Sam apologizes to Ivy saying she’s not a bitch and that Ivy is just messed up. When he suggest to move on Gabriel nods lightly as in a agreement. 'That’s true' he says in response on Reese her words that everytime they rest they end up at eachothers throats 'and number 4 is also alright with me' he says.

When the group is on their way again, Gabriel walks alone behind the group. So it seems it is another cave and according to the voice they can choose to leave or to enter it. But what is the catch when they leave it.

Ivy's eyebrows raise a little when Sam reveals that he was in foster care, too. She did not see that coming. She doesn't know exactly if that changes anything about the way she looks at him, but he feels like more of a person now. Beck's reaction to all of this is 'poor you'. Ivy feels most of her muscles strain. She rigidly stares at Beck. When she first laid eyes on him, she immediately saw the words ASSHOLE written all over his forehead. It'd probably light up if one would shine neon light on his face. She met lots of guys like Beck in her day, and she would probably meet much more of them. Empty-minded morons with the false idea that they had anything valuable about them.

"Not really," she tells him, her lips curled into a slightly snide smile.

Everyone moves on, and finally, they arrive at number four, which is a cave apparently. Ivy takes a deep breath after she hears what the voice has to say. They can either enter or leave? "Might as well go in," she says with a shrug. "If we plan on combing through the maze, it would make no sense to leave this particular cave alone."

Isaac is amazingly glad they leave the 'doom' mountain behind. After all what happened there, not only Zé's arm, but the whole discussion that followed ,Isaac likes walking , alone with his thoughts. Hopefully the rest would cool down on their walk to the next stop. He didn't like all that quarrelling.

Although he learned rather useful things, things he could use against certain people. He's even more happy that he didn't need to dig into people minds and their weak points himself. Others were doing it for him. The more Isaac got to know those peoples weaknesses , the more he would be able to win this contest. On Isaac face a little smile appears, this could become a little more fun now he knew some things...

Soon his thoughts are disrupted by The voice. Isaac didn't even notice they were standing in front of another cave. So, they had the choice to stay outside or go in. Well for Isaac it was clear, certainly ,staying outside would have some nasty consequences, going inside could cause problems as well, but that seemed the least logical in this maze.

"I'm with Ivy , I'm going in" and he smiles a daring smile to Ivy.

It seems like the others agree, so the group starts moving toward 4. Meanwhile, Reese pays close attention to what Sam replies when Ivy asks him about his past. More information about her competition can always come in handy. After that, Sam asks Reese whether she wants to take back the radio or not.

"If no one else wants to take it, sure," Reese says. She suspects that if the organization really wanted to talk to them they wouldn't need a radio, and that the radio more serves as a physical reminder that they're watched every minute, but who knows. Maybe it could be useful somehow later.

They soon reach number 4, which turns out to be another cave. Well then. Both Isaac and Ivy volunteer, which makes Reese consider volunteering too. She's got the feeling that if they enter with a group, the chance that something bad will happen to them will lessen - after all, it would be kind of counterproductive for the organization if several members of the group would be taken out within the first few tasks.

She hesitates, but then says: "I'm also going in. Ivy's right, if we want to be thorough, we need to know what's in there."

And so they continue walking. Luckily, number 4 is close, so they arrive at the spot quickly. As Sam notices the cave, he feels some kind of relief. The previous cave hadn't held any danger whatsoever. Maybe they had the same luck with this one. The voice speaks and tells them they can go in or leave it. Ivy instantly speaks her mind, of course. Her motivation sounds exactly like Sam's thoughts, though. Isaac agrees with Ivy and apparently Reese wants to join too.

Sam hesitates for a bit. Would it be a good or a bad thing to have the cave crowded with people? They only had one flashlight available and he doesn't particularly like dark, small, crowded places - like public restrooms at the mall. So annoying..

"I'm staying here. I don't know how much space we will have in there and maybe there's only one thing to get, like with the last cave. If you guys want to fight over it, it's fine with me. I prefer the daylight." He turns to Zé. "Will you stay outside too? You shouldn't use your arm too much and I think you should skip on as many tasks as you can, since there will probably be tasks in which you're forced to participate." He says, half lost in thought.

The group arrives at another cave, this one slightly covered with bushes. Beck listens to what the voice has to say. Leave it or go in? Beck has to agree with Ivy: if they were to go through all of the maze, they'd better just enter the cave. It could mean something important, and if it didn't, well, they would managed to find a way out. Beck was sure of that.

,,Count me in too,'' Beck says, after Isaac and Reese decide to go in as well. ,,Ivy is right on this one.'' Sam decides not to go. Well, it was his choice, and concerning Zé, he was right. Beck glances at the broken arm, at Zé's face and then at Sam. It was indeed better if Zé waited outside, with Sam there for her.

,,What about you, Dahsi? Gabriel?'' Beck turned to Dahsi and Gabriel, who both hadn't spoken out yet. ,,Are you in?''
