'Well I guess luck was on my side, because who knows what I had bumped into in that cave' he says to Reese. Gabriel just hopes this effort was worthwhile, even it wasn't all that much of an effort but still. But will he lie awake from it, well probably not.

When Dashi also asked if he's sure that he doesn't wanna tell them yet what he got, he nods.'Yes I'm sure' he says. Then the voice starts speaking again, well he isn't that sure if people are going to like him now, but who knows. Yes it sure did he responds to Zé first 'and 9 is also fine by me' he says.

,,Thank you,'' Beck replies to the Voice for allowing them to pick a new number and mostly for calling him a 'pretty boy', whatever he truly meant with that. Beck glances at Gabriel as he hears the voice say he's got a pretty good gift. Dahsi seemingly tries to convince Gabriel to tell what 'present' he got, and Beck is starting to get really curious too. Maybe he had to talk to Gabriel in private soon. ,,Well, good you didn't get harmed,'' Beck said to him, and he showed him a unmanly, almost tender smile. Gee, the voice was right. Beck really started to like this guy - for his new found possesion of course...

As Dahsi comes up with number 9 as their new destination, Beck quickly glances at Ivy; this was the number she proposed to go in the beginning. Beck was curious to know if that would've been a better first choice than fighting the lions, but on the other hand, number 27 was calling out for him. Beck still wondered about the pink lines - and the key in his pocket. ,,We can also stick with the original plan...'' he mutters - more to himself than to Dahsi. ,,But I'm perhaps a little impatient. Nine is fine too, of course.'' It wasn't really a vote but it reflected Becks's indifference on where the group would be heading next. This maze was bigger than Beck thought it was, and it was clear by now that it didn't essentially matter were they would be heading next. ,,I'll vote nine then. You're a smart one, I'll guess you know what's best,'' Beck said, smiling at Dahsi.

Beck dried up a little from the shower and he made an attemt to style his fringe a little bit with his hands - on intuition. He hated that he couldn't see how he looked at the moment and he cursed himself for not bringing a mirror. The thrill of the lionfight already started to fade away a little; after all, they had survived the fight and now cleared two numbers already.

Gabriel disappears into the cave, and Isaac might not like the guy, he didn't wish him dead. Well it is to say it wouldn't be that bad if he got a little bit hurt or something because nearly everyone else got hurt in the fight with the lions, but dead ? No.

When Zé asks him if he did get hurt he responds : "Well my legs burn like hell so I guess I fell on a stone or something when I jumped of that lion, but it’s all right. How did you hurt your shoulder ? ".

Then Gabriel appears again. He doesn't seem to be hurt , he even got a sort of surprise. Isaac is quite angry but decides to say nothing, at least he did go in the cave not knowing what could be waiting there ,so that was kind of brave. When the voice starts speaking again about being nice to Gabriel because he has something special , Isaac just snorts ironically "Yeah right , we should be nice now, totally". Beck opts to go to 27 , and after all Isaac was also pretty curious about those pink things. But on the other hand, Ivy first wanted to go to 9, so why not do that immediately. "I’m pretty curious to know what those pink lines are , but 9 is fine , you did pick 3 and apparently that was a good thing, so 9 it is for me. " Isaac says Dahsi.

    Sam Taylor

Sam feels a bit disappointed and rejected as Ivy shrugs his hand off. Fine, then he would just let her be, next time she felt bad. His happy-ish mood is instantly killed and he remains silent, while they move on towards the next number. His stomach growls at the sight of the sandwiches, but Sam just glares at them and tries to ignore the food. He's tired and dirty. Hungry too, but he doesn't feel like eating. Instead he just stares at the cave, while he listens to the voice and the voting. Gabriel volunteers to enter the cave, because he feels like he didn't do enough at the lion task. Sam feels like protesting, but it's not like he wants to be alone in a dark cave, and Gabriel seems to really want to do this, so he keeps quiet.

He watches the others complimenting each other from a short distance and closes his eyes. Why did he want to do this again? Yes, it was way better than using his body to get money. And honestly, even that could get him killed one day. Besides, even though he's covered in dirt and lion blood and sweat, he still feels pretty clean like this. He shakes his head. Thinking about the past wasn't going to make him feel better. It just made him feel worse.

Gabriel returns from the cave and Sam instantly notices that the man looks exactly the same as he did when he walked in. So, no snakes? No lions? Not even vicious bats? He's surprised. There were actually easy tasks in this damn labyrinth? He moves a bit closer as Gabriel starts to tell about his findings in the cave. Even though he seems to want to keep to himself what he took from the box he picked. This makes Sam curious, but he decides not to ask anything, since Gabriel says they will find out soon enough.

Apparently the voice has given almost everyone a nickname by now, Beck being 'pretty boy', although 'Useless' doesn't only apply to Gabriel, in Sam's eyes. They have to pick a number again and at first Sam wants to stay out of it. But he doesn't want to be completely useless, so he silently joins the others again. "9 is best, I suppose.. Most logical and it's close." He knows he sounds flat. He could never compare to Beck's innocent, girly voice. It kind of depresses him that his voice gives him away so easily. Maybe he should just go mute again after this whole thing, pretend to be a girl..

Now that Gabriel's back, it's time to pick a new number. Most people seem to agree that 9 is the most logical choice, so Reese doesn't bother voicing her opinion. Instead she quickly drinks some orange juice en then gets another sandwich to take with her. She wouldn't be surprised if the voice, or the organization, whatever, would be sadistic enough that food would be witheld from the group for a long time, so she might as well take some with her. Just to be sure.

"I also think we should go to 9, so I think that's most of us?" The only one who hasn't stated her opinion yet is Ivy, so the majority of the group is in agreement. "Well, let's go then," Reese says, deciding to take the lead for now.

Once they move past 2, it suddenly grows a lot darker. Reese frowns and moves a bit towards the back of the group, where she notices that Sam really doesn't look fine. Reese knows that Sam tried to help Ivy after the first task, which means that he is pretty much at the top of her list with people she marginally likes right now, so she softly asks him: "Are you alright? You look a bit... off."

When they turn the corner towards 9, the source of the darkness is revealed: the shadow of a huge mountain on the path, looming above the group. There doesn't seem to be a way around; it looks like they'll have to climb over it somehow. "Well, that should be fun," Reese says with a raised eyebrow, temporarily distracted from Sam, though after her comment she looks at him again.

Zé doesn't really pay any attention to Gabriel anymore. He gives a totally useless answer, as her question had been rhetorical. And when sche hears Beck speak to Dahsi, she can't help but smile. Wow. That boy really knew how to exaggerate. You're a smart one, I'll guess you know what's best. Oh please. They knew each other for how long? But oh well, if that was how Beck wants to play it, he definitely needs to do so. At least Zé now knows not to take any compliment from Beck very seriously. He seems to be pretty quick on giving compliments.

'Oh, I hurt my shoulder when the lion shook me off of its back, but I'm sure I'll be better in no time,' she smiles at Isaac. Yeah, Isaac seemed like a trustworthy guy. And he knew how to handle a knife, that's for sure. She makes a mental note not to get him angry with her. 'And you will be too, a tough guy like you,' she chuckles. He really didn't look like someone who'd get his hands dirty, showing up in a suit and all, but apparently looks really are deceiving after all.

'Hey Sam, you alright?' she then asks. Sam is only another example of deceiving looks. If she hadn't heard him speak, she would've easily mistaken him for a girl. And so would almost everybody else. As everyone seems to be quite laid-back, there really is no action going on at the moment, Zé thinks this is the perfect time for a smoke. Of course she'd brought a pack of cigarettes with her, it's a damn shame she only has one, really. How she's going to survive once these are all gone, she still has to figure out. But hey, maybe the voice can somehow supply her with more. 'You want one?' she asks Sam before she lights her own cigarette.

Then they go to number 9. The darkness isn't really all that, but it's better than the heat from before. 'A mountain? Really?' she sighs. If they really have to climb this thing, she'd have to put out her cigarette already. What a waste.

Once the whole group has once migrated again to the next challenge, a 150 meter high mountain, the voice is delighted.

"Now this one's a fun one. Grab the map hanging on the left side," he instructs and waits until it's done. "There are 7 zones and in each of the top six zones there's a word; everyone starts off in the pink zone. Then the first person climbs up all the way to the top, finds the first word and climbs over to the other side with it. Once the first person is all the way over, the next person climbs to the yellow zone, grabs the word in that zone and moves over to the other side of the mountain. And so on, until everyone is there."

He pauses and takes a dramatic breath. "Once everyone's on the other side, the whole group can work together. All the words are anagrams. Solve the anagrams and tell me what they have in common to pass the challenge." He stops once again. "But there's another rule... This challenge has to be completed in 45 minutes on the dot. If not, the person standing in the pink zone will get a serious disadvantage and can't participate in this challenge any longer. After that, every 5 minutes for the person in the next zone. Alright, choose an order. The 45 minutes start in exactly 10 minutes."

Beck listens to what the voice has to say and he took the map. This challenge seemed a little less dangerous then the lions they had to face, but Beck feared the disadvantage that'd come for the person whenever more than 45 minutes were lost. First of all, Beck didn't want to have that disadvantage. Second of all, the anagrams might become a problem for him; if they were exceptionally difficult, he might not be able to decipher them.

,,I'm going second,'' Beck immediately said, determined of his choice. He could watch the first climbing to the top, which could provide him with insight on how get over this thing quickly. Another advantage of being second, was having a good chance of avoiding the disadvantage that the voice had spoken of. Beck didn't want to face that, whatever it was. ,,And someone good at anagrams should go first, then he or she can already start solving them once he's at the other side,'' Beck then said. This time, it was he who'd be determining the strategy.

Sam barely realizes Reese is talking to him, but as soon as he notices her attention is actually on him, he manages to force a small smile on his face. "I'll be fine. I don't think anyone is having the day of their lives, today." He tries to shrug it off.

The darkness is a bit frightening, but it was slightly better than the heat. No jungle animals here, alright. Zé asks him if he's alright too, and he gives her a thankful nod. "Trying to process what's happening here. It's not like my usual days." He wasn't going to explain what he did on his usual days, but he doesn't exactly expect her to ask. It was obvious that no one was fighting lions every day. A small, but real smile, appears on his face as she offers him a cigarette. "Yes, please." He replies softly, as he takes one. "Thank you, Zé." He wasn't going to bother trying to stop smoking if every day was like this.

They are suddenly in front of a mountain and Sam decides to put the cigarette away, because it's not looking like they will have time to relax. He subconsciously moves a bit closer to Zé and Reese. The voice starts to talk again and Sam blinks. So this was both a physical and a mental challenge? And they all had to climb the whole freaking mountain? Sam feels slightly nauseous and is glad he didn't have any of those sandwiches. He doesn't want to be last, he wouldn't be able to handle spoiling the whole challenge for everyone.

Beck comes with some kind of strategy. Sam takes a deep breath and moves closer, so he stands next to the boy. He takes a look at the map. "I'll go first." His voice is barely a whisper, but he's not the kind of guy who has a stronger body than mind. He'd rather be over and done with the climbing and put his mind on the anagrams. "If that's okay.."

When they're walking towards number 9, the shadow of a huge mountain put them in a bit of darkness. Do they really have to climb this thing, maybe they should use a rope, he didn't someone of the group had a rope. It might be safer that way, because we want no one to fall down.

Then the voice starts speaking again, as he explains the next challenge. So they have to solve an anagram by climbing up that mountain one by one, where they can find a word, once that person has that word, that person has to climb to the other side. Well that should be fun.

'I'll go third' Gabriel says, since Sam wants to go first and Beck second.

They settle on nine, which is fine by Dahsi, seeing as she was the one who suggested it in the first place. Beck compliments her for it. "Thanks... I guess," she answers. The group slowly moves further into the northern section of the Labyrinth and as it gets darker, it seems to somehow also get colder. Probably because they're swallowed inside the big shadow of a mountain. "Whoa..." she voices "They must've put some effort into this whole show; first lions, now a mountain."

She listens carefully to the long and complicated explanation. 'One by one get the words and solve the anagrams. Then figure out what they have in common. All in 45 minutes...'. Dahsi puts on her thinking cap while Beck, Gabriel and Sam are already shouting out that they want to be first and second. She takes a second look at the large mountain. It seemed doable. Not too high up, but still quite dangerous, seeing as it was one big pile of rocks. Oh well, it had to be done.

"I'll go fourth!" she then quickly states before all places are taken. "Sounds like a good plan Beck. Let's just try and get there in less than 45 minutes. I don't really care for the disadvantage."

Sam smiles, but it looks fake. He replies that he's fine, but he certainly doesn't look it. When Zé asks him, he gives a bullshit excuse. Whatever, it's his business; Reese is not going to push him if he doesn't want to talk. Instead, she listens to the voice, who apparently has instructions about this task. She takes a look at the map, notices the different zones and then takes a look at the mountain, trying to estimate how high it might be.

Beck immediately decides that he wants to go second and then starts handing out commands. This rubs Reese the wrong way. When Dahsi, Gabriel and Sam immediately claim their places as well, Reese quickly says: "I'll take the fifth spot." She is a bit doubtful about Sam going first. He looks really frail, not like he's going to be quick.

She takes another look at the mountain. "However, I think it would be smarter if the people who got hurt during the fight with the lions were last. That's... Zé, Dahsi" Zé mentioned her shoulder just now, and Reese saw Dahsi get hurt, "and... Isaac, I think?" Reese didn't follow all of the conversations, so she isn't entirely sure who got hurt or not. "The people who go last need to climb the smallest distance, so if the wounded people go last, that would put less strain on them." Plus Reese would be able to go as one of the first people, since she didn't get hurt. Whoever is last will probably get screwed over by the disadvantage, whatever that might be, so she definitely doesn't want to go last.

"The mountain looks to be about 200 meters high, tops. It should be doable, but we need a tactic for on the other side. Not everyone needs to get to the top, remember, so everyone will end up on different heights on the other side. We'll need a meeting place there. Maybe halfway? It's easier to get down than to get up," Reese says thoughtfully.

When the voice explains what it is that exactly needs to be done, Zé sighs. Just as she expects, everyone starts to claim places. The first ones are of course the most desired ones, since that would mean they're pretty safe for the "disadvantage". And then Reese goes telling her, Dahsi and Isaac they should go last. 'Great, just put us in danger, as we're already harmed,' she shoots back at Reese. 'But fine, I'll go last, you load of wusses.' Yeah, Zé is pissed. If Reese wants to go first, then she should just claim a fcking spot, not tell them what to do.

'At least that way I can smoke my cigarette quietly,' she mutters to herself, trying to justify to herself that she's put herself in pretty great danger. As if her cigarette is going to help her when she gets disadvantaged. Well, as long as she doesn't die, it'll make her stronger, right?

Dahsi takes Reese's words into consideration. She was right, Dahsi did still feel a bit defeated with the cuts and scratches on her body, but she still doesn't want to go last. Thankfully Zé does. "You have a point Reese, I'll go sixth then and Isaac should go seventh." she decides, thinking the changes of getting a disadvantage are still pretty slim that way.

Dahsi gets her pen and notebook back out and rips one of the pages. She hands these over to Sam. "This will be helpful with the anagrams," she explains. "So are we decided then? Sam first, Beck second, Gabriel third, Ivy fourth, Reese fifth, me sixth, Isaac seventh and Zé last? Or does someone wish to swap?"

Gabriel seems to be a-okay as he emerges from the cave. He even seems to have gotten something out of it - something useful, by the looks of it. Ivy tries to shrug it off, but hell, if he got something useful, she needs to know what it is. She needs to be able to take his advantage into consideration. Ivy decides to talk to Reese about this, later. The group decides to move on, and Ivy stuffs some sandwiches into her bag. They walk towards number nine, and Ivy tries to hang behind and talk to Reese a bit (they need to fake-bond, in order for the organisation not to get suspicious), but they arrive soon enough.

Ivy's eyes widen at the sight of the mountain. Well then. Isn't that marvelous. The voice explains what needs to happen. Sam wants to go first; Beck second; Gabriel third; Dahsi fourth; Reese fifth, and Zé says (in a rather annoyed voice) that she'll go last. She calls everyone else 'wusses' in the process, causing Ivy to frown slightly. Is she saying that brave people are supposed to seek disadvantages?

"Reese is right," Ivy chips in. "Wounded people are less useful and move slower. I don't know about you, sweet cheeks, but selfishness isn't much appreciated."

Dahsi takes what Reese says into account and gives up her fourth place. "I'll go fourth, then," Ivy says simply.
